Job brief
The Corporate Finance Associate plays a crucial role in supporting the team on key financial advisory projects and deals. You will work closely with the Management team to contribute to the successful execution of engagements across various corporate finance mandates, while demonstrating strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Handling and analysing large amounts of data and information.
- Assisting with development and analysis of financial and valuation models.
- Assisting with preparation of documents, reports and presentations using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and other mainstream analytics software.
- Researching and analysing financial statements, industries, markets and other information.
- Performing client and project due diligence.
- Maintaining client transaction and marketing databases.
- Providing support to team members, management team, and partners as required.
- Identifying areas for improvement in processes and workflows, suggesting actionable solutions.
- Maintaining accurate client files and documentation in compliance with Baker Tilly standards and guidelines.
- Providing comprehensive support to team members, Managers, and Partners in the successful delivery of corporate finance projects.
- Supporting the team in managing client relationships, ensuring timely communication and delivery of project milestones.
- Working collaboratively with other departments to provide integrated solutions for client needs.
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or economics.
- Studying towards a professional certification (ACCA, ACA or CFA) is an advantage.
- At least one year’s work experience in the financial services or consulting sectors is desirable.
- Good writing skills and full proficiency in the Microsoft office suite of products and electronic research tools are essential.
