The Risk Consulting Senior Associate plays an important role in preparing for, advising and delivering on Internal Audit, AML/CFT Audit, and other Risk consulting engagements.
The incumbent will be an experienced professional with past risk consulting experience and working towards further developing advanced skills on risk consulting engagement.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Execute engagements such as AML/CFT independent audits, Internal Audit, Data protection engagements and other ad-hoc risk consulting engagements.
- Continuously self-learn and seek training in all the technical aspects of relevant AML/CFT, Internal Audit and Data Protection laws and regulations as well as international Standards such as the Global Internal Audit Standards of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).
- Assist in Managing engagement project dynamics efficiently to achieve corporate targets on engagement and recovery.
- Plan engagements and in collaboration with Management.
- Allocate engagement responsibilities to associates for every assigned engagement.
- Assist in monitoring engagement progress, delivery and quality against the plan and course correct where required.
- Ability to work under pressure to deliver on time.
- Review work of Junior team members on a timely basis to ensure accuracy, completeness and quality of deliverables.
- Provide continuous on-the-job training and constructive feedback to team members for every engagement.
- Coach and develop staff by sharing knowledge and helping team members develop skills that cultivate technical competencies.
- Develop and deliver technical training to internal audiences.
Requirements and skills
- At least 4 years of risk consulting experience.
- Degree holder in a relevant field and/or ACCA/ACA/CIA fully or partly qualified or equivalent qualification.
- Skillful and experienced in complex project management.
- Good time management skills.

- Ability to design, prepare and deliver presentations to a broad audience.
